VINTAGE METAL GRATE/VENT/REGISTER REFURBISH:

Do you own an old home and want to update the look but can’t find vents/registers to fit? Why not refurbish the existing ones and save yourself the hassle?

REFURB DETROIT was formed to help take care of this. The way it works is simple. You contact us and send a few pics/dimensions for reference so we can see the damage/etc that could be in question. We can give you a rough price range depending how the photos look, but once we start the process, things might pop up like broken metal, rotted wood/etc. We will contact you for additional pricing with approval.

METAL:

Once stripped and sandblasted, more than likely there will be some dimples/pits/etc from years of rust and just being old. We even out minor imperfections as much as we can and if they are damaged/broken, we will try to fix them if possible. Since most of the vintage grates/vents are cast metal, there is imperfections in the castings that are natural.

If you want us to fully paint (color) the items, please select your paint spec (Rust-Oleum spray has a variety of colors to choose from) and write it down with your order. If it’s a custom enamel, you can send us a quart and we will spray it. This will add 1 week +/- to let the finished paint fully dry before we package them.

We paint any recessed louvers black as a default.

WOOD WINDOW SASH REFURBISH:

Have a few old windows that just need to be paint stripped and reglazed? We can strip the paint down to the wood, remove the glass, seal/prime the wood, reglaze the glass and prime the sash. You can paint the sashes or have your contractor do it if needed. Visit the SERVICES tab for pricing/etc.
